a good cause

I don't know how many of you heard about the med student who died in Nutty Putty Caves just before Thanksgiving. You can read the story here . I don't know the family, but the story reminded me of how quickly life can change...and it can happen to anyone. A friend of ours actually does know the family and provided information on how people can donate to a memorial fund to help his wife, daughter, and baby on the way. Here is a link to the family's blog and here is where you can donate to the fund.

When I read the story in the Deseret News I was just sick to my stomach. So, so, sad. It was also close to home for David and me. Like you said, a reminder that life is fleeting - and it can change so fast. Wow, I just mourn for that family! The sealing power gives us so much hope and joy. Incredible.

Thanks for posting this guys. I'm so grateful for the temple and sealing power. I know Emily would appreciate your thoughtful desire to help them. Thank you.

Tears flowed freely after hearing about this! I for one, DO know what it is like to lose a loved one around the holidays (or in general) and my heart broke for this young wife and her children. Life is so short, and you just don't know how much time you have...that's why its SO important to constantly tell people you are 1. grateful for them 2. love them and 3. be the best person you can be. I too am grateful for the temple and the sealing power...and the ability and knowledge that we can see our loved ones again. thanks for sharing
