Luke has been creating his own little nooks lately. He likes to crawl underneath his crib, hide underneath the sink.... he even likes me to pull out the couch from against the wall so he can hang out back there. Little dude has a good imagination.

We had our first little snowfall this week (okay it was hardly snow... you would have to look really close). But we thought it was a good excuse to put on some snow clothes and introduce Luke to winter. I think he is going to be tougher than his Mom.

I accidentally left a glade plugin on our desk and the liquid leaked out and took off the finish. It figures that the ONE piece of furniture in my house that I had no desire to refinish...now needs to be refinished. If anyone has any suggestions that don't involve stripping the whole thing and restaining it, I'm all ears. I would use "Restore a Finish" but I'm not sure how to redo the lacquer finish.
Last year, while watching the Christmas devotional online, Luke laughed for the first time. So when the Christmas devotional rolled around this year, we thought we would make him laugh again for memories sake (which isn't hard to do ... he's a giggly little kid and EXTREMELY ticklish)p.s. if you scroll down Luke's playlist there are some Christmas tunes

Luke is the cutest little boy ever. Look at all his hair! How fun to have Christmas with a little kid.
Also, I WISH we had snow in Rexburg. I think it is TOO COLD to snow right. All we get is snow sand that blows around the roads and turns to ice. Nothing fluffy, nothing lovely. David and I are trying to move back to Ohio for more school, and the winters have to be better than here (though I hear you Ohioans still get pretty dumped on in the coming months...).
P.S. Every real family home needs to have a piece of furniture with a crazy mark on it. It just makes your house more homey!
just do the top of the desk. you could even do it a different stain or color like black. good luck!
I LOVE Luke's laugh! He is adorable!
Luke is such a cutie! I especially like the pictures from your previous post while he's playing with that ziploc bag :)
I think you should just get a nice potted plant to stick on your desk Or a really cool leather folder that you just keep right on that corner.... :)
luke seriously melts my heart. cutest kid ever.
i really will call up that guy that sold us our dresser if you want. he refinishes pieces as a career, so i'm sure he wouldn't mind the question! i also like the cool folder idea :)
You know...if you really want Luke to experience winter and snow you could bring him to Utah!!
Andrew...you tickled him so much you probably made him pee his pants!!!..Luke is such a cutie! Whenever I'm watching your videos and Nathan can hear from th other room he always yells,"Let me guess it must be Luke".We all love to see him especially when he is laughing. Ryland's favorite is still when he was chewing on the toothbrush while mopping the floor!
Love, love, love that little guy!! He is just too cute for words!
So we had a plug in from Bath & Body Works that did the same thing to our nice kitchen table! UGH! I was so mad. Luckily it was about the size of a dime-- was your plug in from B&BW?
