Might as well post the pictures we did get of Charleston. There were some better pictures pre-delete but you get the idea. I know I took lots of pictures of peoples' homes but I'm a sucker for beautiful architecture. Plus, tour buses are going around all these streets anyway so they probably get it all the time. Just remember, what you see is nothin compared to seeing it in person (and I didn't get any pictures of the big mansions).

Can't you imagine running along that coastline (yup, that's the ocean). And they fully encourage playing in the fountain behind me as long as you don't climb it.

There are lots of beautiful cast-iron gates along the streets and if you peek inside you see hidden little jewels like this (you can actually have a private yard in the city! unreal).

The nicest man took this picture. He even gave us suggestions for nice inns we should stay at (clearly he had no idea how poor we are:)). Honestly everyone was so nice and didn't mind chatting it up with us and telling us how cute our kids are (what parent doesn't like hearing that). We even passed a few park bums who were so classy and told me what a lovely family I have...seriously!? I've never been called darlin' so much in my life. I could get used to the southern hospitality thing.

This is what we call "good brick"

Andrew was dying to try some Gullah food (The African Americans who live in the Lowcountry and have their own language and everything).

Good southern homecookin'...fried chicken, okra gumbo, collards, yams...(we probably put on a few pounds with this one)

Sooooo pretty! I totally want to go there. I like seeing you as a foursome, you guys are an amazing family! Thank you for Cameron's birth announcement - I just got it today. Sooooo cute ;)
I'm so sorry about your pictures!!! You're descriptions were beautiful, though. I hope they always help you remember. What an incredible vacation. It looks like you had so much fun. How was it with 2 kids?! It looks like it was completely natural. I think my favorite pictures are of you all by the columns. The one with you and the kids - Luke's beautiful smile matches yours! It's perfect!
First: so sad about your pictures - but these ones are good ones too! Love love love them!
Second: I'm so glad you did take a trip, and you went to NC! I have this fondness in my heart for it now hoping and wishing for us to go there. If we do you'll just have more excuses to visit, right??
Third: How did the kids do? Like Linzi said it looks like it's all so smooth-riding, but really? Because I want to learn from you how to do it! :)
Fourth: I'm home and want to play! Hope to see you at the sports class today!
