We extended our wedding anniversary celebration into a week this year (actual date: April 25th). My family in Utah watched Luke so that Andrew and I could escape for a few days down south. This was actually my request because I was slightly green with envy after seeing the pictures from this little man escapade last year.
Little Wild Horse Canyon
We camped just outside Little Wild Horse Canyon (part of the San Rafael Swell). It was VERY windy so our camping spot was perfect to keep out the wind.

Okay, I've been known to make really lame "tough" faces in the past, but this one isn't half bad! Although, I think Andrew failed with the puffy lower lip. More sad than intimidating.
The hike itself which we started around 6am the next morning...

This is starting to become a necessary tradition, the token kissing picture... (although to be perfectly honest, we were cutting it pretty close with the timer and Andrew running back and forth, so the best we could do was to have our faces touching).
After this, we became crazy parents that missed Luke too much and went back home (in our defense, there was a snow storm coming). In any case, having some one-on-one time with Andrew was WONDERFUL. Happy 3rd miele.
(this video is specifically for Andrew's brothers who spend most of their camping outings pushing rocks off cliffs. i thought I could demolish this one with a kick, but I guess I need some practice)

You guys have THE THE THE THE COOLEST kissing pictures... we make a habit of kissing, but you guys take the cake. And howdy doody to Andrew for taking that shot with the timer... he must have been sprinting because it seriously looks like you were half a mile away.
Happy Anniversary!
you guys are my favorite! I love how many pictures you guys have of the both of you - you must have a pretty good timer on your camera! :) Glad to hear that your trip was fun!
"More sad than intimidating."
If that one sentence doesn't capture Drew's essence, I don't know what does.
Happy Anniversary! So fun to go to Goblin Valley. I wish we could do that this year. Great pictures.
Sorry Lauren, but I have to agree with Jeff. I thought that was a picture of you guys being sad that your fire went out and you had cold weenies.
