It only took us four years to find the coolest place in Ohio. A friend told us about The Maize last month and we were so intrigued that we got season passes. Weather wise, pretty much every season in Ohio manages to disappoint me, except Fall. In Fall, Ohio repents for it's long overcast grey days, bitter freezing winters, and sticky sweltering summers. Fall is perfect. And this little farm, far away from the city, is the perfect place to enjoy it (and after a few trips we still haven't even been through the maize part if you can believe that).
This enormous bouncy thing (is it called a trampoline? not sure what you would classify it as) was a major hit.
It is embarrassingly clear that the adults in our family have even more fun than the kids. I was really sad when Luke was ready to move on to something else.
We were lucky this particular night (back in September) to be basically the only people there. It was during an OSU game which everyone religiously attends/watches around here. Plus, it was really early in the season and apparently no one knew it was open. We felt like we hit the jackpot.
How many pictures could we possibly take jumping on this thing? You have no idea. Scroll down, there are even more!
We have been a few times. This latest trip we got there early enough for some better lighting...
A cow train ride through the corn fields! So fun. Kind of reminded me of riding "The Grizzly" at Great America.
Yup, more of these... I can't resist. We want one of these in our backyard someday.
Cam was getting a little jealous of all the fun so I took him for some bouncing too.
I think Andrew got a little taste of what it is going to be like to teach Luke how to drive.
We ran into our neighbors there too (literally our next door neighbors). Luke loves this little man and calls him Dino even though that is definitely not his name.

Oh, Maize! You make me think that just maybe I could one day live on a farm in the middle of nowhere. But alas, we all know that probably isn't true. But thanks for giving us some perfect Fall memories to help us remember why Ohio rocks.
p.s. There is a lot more to do than what is pictured here. But I think I would drive my boys completely nuts if I had my camera out the whole time.

which farm is it and how much were season passes?
Oh my, this place rocks! We just went to a pumpkin patch and it was closed because it had been raining earlier in the day :-( So, we are really excited to go and hit it up again and get our pumpkin fill...
Cameron and Luke are so sweet together - love the pics!
Thanks for posting about this! We are totally going soon now. I can't wait to try out the trampoline!!
I remember seeing pictures of this place while in OH and never quite finding out the details of it. And now I am so sad we missed it! Major bummer. But your pictures are beautiful Lauren! They look so great!
1. That bouncy thing looks like so much fun.
2. The pictures of your kids with the pumpkins are gorgeous.
