We had an AMAZING time at the Stacey Family Reunion this year (like how I capitalized it? That means it is going to become a thing...or a tradition ...which I am really excited about). I've already posted some of these pictures so I'll try not to repeat.
Luke had a great time with his cousins.

Can you see where this is going?
A friendly game of "keep away" but little shorty wasn't so down with it!

So he returned the football to a loyal 3rd party for safekeeping...
Of course, no family reunion is complete without lots of pickup games of football, tee-ball, basketball, volleyball and pretty much every other sport you can think of.
There were many times during this trip that we wondered, "where is Luke?".
Don't worry. He's just walking up the road like he owns the place! (Look how good little Devor stayed on the sidewalk! The cousins were great examples).
But really, Luke could almost always be found in one place. His little "secret getaway", his "happy spot", his "vacation from a vacation"....the sandbox:
Hours upon hours...no joke.
We took a little trip up to Temple Square. I wish I took more pictures. It was such a nice day and so great to be there with family. Luke put up a stink about changing out of his pajama top that day. I kept thinking we would definitely run into the Prophet with my little kiddo dressed like a hooligan. We didn't. But lets be honest, President Monson is the kindest man ever and probably would have just patted his cute curly hair and said something remarkable and profound.
Because what little boy wouldn't want to wear his helicopter pj's all day long?! They perfectly match the plane he carries everywhere!
I probably could have picked a better moment to get a picture of these two cuties but I was so mesmerized by children that EAT.
We also had a very cool family talent show. We didn't take enough pictures, but I'm so glad that we snapped a photo of this skit.
5 dancing Ricky's
There was also great little day trip to the Unitas. Little boys + rocks + water = LOVE
Everyone wore their freshly tie-dyed reunion t-shirts (except Luke because he was opinionated about his clothing this trip).
I'm sure all the grandkids are going to remember 'fishing with grandpa' as some of their sweetest childhood memories.
Wait, where's Luke?
Don't worry! He has just wandered over to the other side of the lake. No biggie! Man, this boy loved to wander this trip. I almost burst into tears with worry at least 5 times.
Airplane always in hand.
An imagination that follows him everywhere.
Don't worry, I didn't forget that I have more than one son. He had a great time too! By the way, this is what happens when you order 100 baby announcements but don't have 100 friends :( Chew toys.
[Part Two is coming up next...it is not very long but I am TIRED remembering all this fun]

I am so in love with Luke! He is ALL BOY and it is completely endearing. This whole post reminded me that we need to get outside more often and play. :)
